Mothers Day, Candle Making and Random Blabbing

It has been a really crazy last few days with uni and work etc. Yesterday it was Saturday and we had to go to uni from 9-4.30 for an assignment and we need to do it all again next Saturday! The worst thing is I am taking two Saturdays off work and that means less money but oh well I have been making commission every week! Speaking of work I am officially the best sales person on night shift and have won a free holiday weekend away but they are still organizing it all so that will get its own blog post! I do LOVE my job though, I have a great boss and I am even getting a pay rise next week :D

Today is Mother's Day so tonight I went to dinner with Mum! Nicolai and Mike also came along. We went to this restaurant up the road which we recently discovered which is Malaysian and also has a vegan menu to choose from. We got some great food from there and had a nice night. Below is a pic of Mum and me:

Onto other news. I have a new hobby! I now make my own candles! I ordered the soy wax, wicks, scent oils etc a while ago online but I have been way too busy to even make them but Friday night I finally found some time to do it! I made my first batch and make coconut and vanilla scents. I mainly chose these scents because they are also my Mum's favorites and I wanted to make her a couple for Mothers Day! They are so fun to make and it is a hobby where at the end you have something solid to look at and enjoy. Eventually I want to make a little online business selling them, but not for a while!
Here is a picture of my candles drying:

Also just quickly I wanted to say how much technology has been amazing me. I had a group assignment to work on today but we couldn't meet so we started using Gmail to work together. We can have one Word Document open and all edit it at the same time, while chatting in a box on the side. See picture below:

Also here is a photo I took for my Pop. He is interested in cranes and this is a job they are doing on the new hospital across the road from uni where they have all of these huge cranes. I know he will find this interesting! And you can also see our bus stop and the amazing weather!

New post soon. Another busy week of assignments coming up and work every night! But I love to blog!

  2. Our biggest supplier we use would be www.naturalcandlesupply.com.au and we also use www.aussiecandlesupplies.com.au

We get basically everything from these places, we do get fragrances from quite a few sources and some overseas, but they are really expensive and I wouldn't recommend doing that for a hobby :) If you ever need to know anything else just email me at vulcanella@gmail.com i'm happy to help! :)
